UNI kicker Hallgren gains league honor

Posted:

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- After an up and down start to the season, UNI kicker Billy Hallgren finally put things together nailing all 4 field goal attempts in Saturday's victory over South Dakota.  That performance garnered him the MVC's Special Teams Player of the Week Honor.

The four field goals made up a career high for Hallgren as he connected on kicks of 27, 32, 42 and 31 yards.  It also matched the most field goals hit in a single game by a Panther kicker in the past 6 years.

UNI returns home Saturday to face Illinois State at 4:05 in the UNI-Dome.
