ESPNU Road Trip stops in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- On its way to Madison, Wisconsin, for a big showdown between the Badgers and the Ohio State Buckeyes, the tailgating RV for the ESPNU Road Trip series, made a stop in Cedar Falls Monday night.

Varsity Motor Coach is a manufacturer of custom luxury entertainment vehicles, based in Cedar Rapids. It is the official motor coach provider of the road trip, which visits the biggest college football games in the country each week.

It was in Cedar Falls Monday night to celebrate a partnership with Interior Source and Cambrian Granite and Stone. A tailgating party was set up for employees and customers.

"I've traveled around the country and the people of Alabama and such are very intense, same with Texas, but I think Iowa very much hold their own with the Hawkeyes and the Cyclones and the Panthers to do college football right,'' said Bill Rieckhoff, of Varsity Motor Coach.

According to its website, the road trip crew is scheduled to be back in Iowa at the Nov. 24, match-up between Ohio State and Iowa in Iowa City.
