Make a Difference Day in the Cedar Valley

Posted:

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Make a Difference Day is meant to encourage people to volunteer. The day was created by USA Weekend Magazine and it takes place every fourth Sunday in October, and is being celebrated in the Cedar Valley.

The Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley teamed up with the Family and Children's Council for Make a Difference Day.

There are 25 businesses participating in this year's event.  Baskets will be delivered to the participating businesses, and throughout the month employees can bring in new baby safety items to donate such as car seats and diapers. These donated items will be collected and brought to the Family and Children's Council for families in need.

If you would like to donate you can bring the baby safety items to The Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley or The Family and Children's Council.
