West Delaware upsets 9th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock

MANCHESTER (KWWL) -- Four games into district play, Waverly-Shell Rock has been outscoring opponents by an average of more than 32 points. While West Delaware's only district loss has come to Decorah, who's currently sitting tied up top with the Go-Hawks.

West Delaware taking the field with an entrance that'll get anyone pumped up. WD gets on the board first, quarterback Jordan Hoffman hooks up with Tyler Morrison a 10 yard TD puts the Hawks on top.

Second quarter, the Hawk defense comes up big on third down. Jackson Litterer tries to hook up with Bryce Miller. It's incomplete and they'd settle for a field goal. Its 7-3 West Delaware.

Then just before half the Hawks march down the field, with a possible play of the week nominee, a half back pass. Brandon Domeyer to Trey Taggert. That puts the Hawks ahead 14-3 at half.

That means if Waverly-Shell Rock beats Decorah, we're looking at a three tie in the district.
