Danielle Holdgrafer's murder charge dropped

MAQUOKETA (KWWL) -- A murder charge filed against an adoptive mother has been dropped at the request of the Jackson County Attorney.

Danielle Holdgrafer, 29, was charged with First Degree Murder, Child Endangerment Causing Death and two counts of Child Endangerment Causing Bodily Injury.

According to online court documents, the First Degree Murder charge was dropped by Judge Marlita Greve after Jackson County Attorney, Chris Raker, filed a motion to do so.

Holdgrafer still faces the other three charges.

Police say Collin Holdgrafer, 4, drowned in a bathtub on June 12.

Danielle's husband, Andrew, 31, died on September 4 of an apparent heart attack while working out in his garage.

No new trial date has been set for Danielle.
