CLARKSVILLE (KWWL) -- Who says no one cares about eight man football? The game between seventh ranked Janesville and Clarksville narrowly missed being the KWWL Game of the Week with more than 550 votes.
High scoring Janesville put its unbeaten record on the line Friday night against once beaten Clarksville.
The Indians would get on the board first with a two yard dive by running back Caleb Ciavarelli. They would also go for two and get it, just like that the Indians were up eight to nothing.
In the second quarter, Clarksville quarter back Scott Hempen would air the ball out to Dalton Ciavarelli. Ciavarelli would make an amazing grab in the end zone, but the Wildcats would fire right back.
Quarter back Josh Despard avoids the sack and lets it fly. Tight end Nick Watson would catch the ball in stride and go seventy plus yards to the end zone. Janesville would miss the two point conversion. The score at that time is 14 to six.
Clarksville would keep their offense rolling as Hempen would give a quick shuffle pass to Dalton Ciavarelli and he would take it to the house.
The Indians would put one more score on the board before half as Hempen hits Blake Rottink in the end zone. The Indians go into the locker room up 26 to six.
Janesville would put up a fight in the second half, but it would not be enough to win.
Clarksville beats Janesville 32 to 26.
