Two Waterloo men facing federal drug and weapons charges

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Two Waterloo men and one from Missouri are facing several drug and weapons charges.

According to court documents, Mark Hopper, 31, from Waterloo, Robert Dale, 27, from Waterloo, and Lucio Andazola-Fimbers, 39, from Milo, Missouri, have been charged with distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine and conspiracy.

The charges were filed on Sept. 14, in United States District Court in Cedar Rapids.

Hopper is charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful transport of a firearm and one count of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 280 grams or more of "crack cocaine".

Dale is charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful transport of a firearm and one count of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 280 grams or more of "crack cocaine".

Andazola-Fimbres is charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.

If convicted on all charges, Hopper faces from 20 years to life in prison, an $8,000,000 fine, $300 in special assessments, and 10 years to life of supervised release following any prison time.

Dale faces from 20 years to life in prison, an $8,000,000 fine, $500 in special assessments, and 10 years to life of supervised release following any prison time.

Andazola-Fimbres faces 10 years to life in prison, an $8,000,000 fine, $200 in special assessments, and 5 years of supervised release following any prison time.

Their trials are set for Nov. 22.
