Exercise may prevent older women from breaking hip

FINLAND (KWWL) -- Exercise may protect elderly women from breaking a hip.

New research from Finland finds women who participated in balance, leg strength and impact training sessions were less likely to fall and break a bone.

They were also less likely to die prematurely.

Most of the exercises used in the study were done inside the home.
