#2 Cedar Falls Rolls over #7 Xavier, 28-7

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Cedar Falls shot out of the gate strong and never looked back rolling over Cedar Rapids Xavier 28-7 in a top ten match-up.

The 2nd ranked Tigers opened the scoring when defensive back Johnathan Beckman picked an Alex Didio pass returning it for the first quarter touchdown.  Cedar Falls expanded the lead over the #7 Saints in the second quarter as Jordan Doyle aired out a 41 yard scoring strike to James Harrington for the 14-0 edge.

Later came the Barkley Hill show.  The junior running back hit Harrington on a 28 yard halfback pass to give the Tigers a 21-0 lead at halftime.  Hill then busted out of the gate in the second half going 54 yards on Cedar Falls' second play from scrimmage for the 28-0 advantage.

The Tiger defense forced 4 Xavier turnovers, while keeping the Saints' off the scoreboard until the final 2 minutes of the ball game.
