Remains of Cedar Rapids native found in Wyoming mountains

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)--  A death investigation is underway in Wyoming after the remains of a Cedar Rapids native are found in the Big Horn Mountains.

Sheridan County sheriff officials in Wyoming say the remains of 37-year-old Christopher Husman, of Buffalo, Wyoming were found six months after he was reported missing.

In April, a man told deputies he had been involved in transporting, and burying a body in the mountains.  Officials went to the area and found a burial site and remains. Two months later, another search found more of Husman's remains. He had been reported missing in October 2009.

DNA tests confirmed a positive identification between the remains and Husman.

An obituary reports Husman was born in Cedar Rapids and attended his school years there before moving to Wyoming to work in the construction and landscaping industry.
