Storm packs hail, strong winds, lightning

EASTERN IOWA (KWWL) -- Tuesday afternoon's storm sparked severe thunderstorm warnings across portions of eastern Iowa.

The Jones County Emergency Manager reports strong winds blew over a semi on Highway 136 south of Cascade around 2:00 pm.

A viewer named Lindsy sent in a photo of hail in Marion around 1:25 p.m.

A Traer family says lightning is to blame for a house fire in Traer just before Noon on Tuesday. They say lightning struck a television antenna attached to the home at 810 Sixth Street at around 11:40 am. No one was injured.
