WATERLOO (KWWL)—If you're looking for work, you're in a luck.  Hawkeye Community College is sponsoring an industry job fair on Tuesday, October 5, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Tama Hall, Room in 107B.

Job seekers should bring their applications and resumes along as they meet with leading industries in the areas of trades, manufacturing, and specialized careers.  This is an opportunity to learn about high- demand jobs, businesses and their hiring needs – both now and in the near future, high demand skills and how to get those skills that are needed.

Manufacturers in the Cedar Valley are currently looking for individuals who will fit their hiring needs.  Companies that will be represented at the job fair include John Deere, Con Agra, Hy-Pro Incorporated, Geater Machining and Manufacturing, GMT Corporation, Richelieu Foods, Power Engineering and Manufacturing, and Beef Products Incorporated.  Starting wages range from $10-$15/hour and openings are available now.  This job fair is a great prospect for individuals looking for employment opportunities, as well as individuals who are underemployed.  For more information on the job fair, please contact Brittany Jungck, Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator, at 319-296-4043.
