Dubuque man admits to distributing crack cocaine

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)-- A Dubuque man could spend at least one year in prison for distributing crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Dubuque's Comiskey Park.

30-year-old Tim Anderson, pleaded guilty to the charge in Cedar Rapids Monday. He admitted to having 1.62 grams of crack cocaine, and trying to give it to an undercover officer on Jan. 19.  Anderson has been convicted in Illinois of possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

Sentencing has not been set. Anderson remains in custody by the United States Marshal.  If convicted, he faces a minimum one year, to a possible maximum sentence of 60 years, plus fines.
