Union Rallies to Stay Undefeated, 47-46

DYSART (KWWL)--Junior Wes Burnside rushed for 294 yards and scored 5 touchdowns, as the undefeated Union Knights engineered a major second rally in a come from behind, 47-46, victory over Central Clinton Friday night in a Class 3A District 5 clash in Dysart.

The Knight fell behind early, when Central Clinton scored just one minute and 33-seconds into the game.

The Knights came right back to take the lead on a 74-yard touchdown run from Wes Burnside. Burnside also had a 55-yard touchdown run in the first half, but the Knights trailed at half-time, 26-13. It could have been even worse, but a Central Clinton touchdown run was called back because of a penalty.

Wes Burnside and his Union teammates scored 34-points in the second on route to the come from behind victory to remain undefeated at 4-0 on the season.  Burnside scored three second-half touchdowns and finished the game with 294-yards rushing.
