Dike-New Hartford remains unbeaten

DIKE (KWWL)--Unbeaten Dike-New Hartford has been averaging more than 35-points a game in its first three wins--crushing AGWSR 31-0 to open the district season. West Fork has been stingy on defense--giving up less than 10 points a game in winning its first three games-- something had to give in this big battle of unbeatens.

West Fork with the ball first number 10 Seth Tuttle dumps the ball of to number 34 Nathan Folkers. He would scamper 18 yards for a first down. The Warhawks were passing all over the Wolverines in the first until Tuttle would try again thru the air. Folkers tips the ball and the drive would end with number three Eric Joblinske for his first of two picks in the first half taking the ball 20 yards for the Wolverines.

It would have to go into the second quarter before the Wolverines take control. Fourth and seven the Wolverines line up for a punt and Quarterback Josh Rekers takes the ball instead and finds number 84 Michael Weidemann for a 25-yard completion and a first down.

Four plays later and another fourth down, Rekers drops back from the 25-yard line and heaves the ball down to the zone and Weidemann comes back for the ball and a touchdown. The Wolverines on top seven to zip.

 A couple minutes later Dike-New Hartford on the move again. Third and 16 from the 35-yard line and Rekers throws the ball down the middle, connects with number three Eric Joblinske. He would take the ball 65-yards to the zone making the score 14 to nothing. The Wolverines would make it 21 to zip before the War Hawks finally get on the board.

Dike-New Hartford kicks the ball off and Jordan Hubka bobbles the catch, starts a slight walk, finds a seam, and puts on the after burners. He would take the ball 87-yards to the house making the score 21 to 7 at the half. Dike would go on to win this one 35 to 7 to remain unbeaten.
