NASHUA (KWWL) -- In class 1A District three, the 5th ranked A-P Falcons is one of four teams to win their first three games of the season. The Falcons spent their Friday night visiting a Nashua-Plainfield team that opened the district season with a hard fought 13-7 loss to unbeaten West Fork.
Nashua-Plainfield hoping to drop the hammer on the Falcons but it would be number 23 of the Falcons dropping the hammer on the very first play of the game. Jack Cordes would take the squib kick and run it 43 yards to the end zone. In the first six seconds of the game A-P was up seven to nothing on the huskies.
A little later in the first quarter Curry Hoff would take the hand-off and march in from three yards out. With the extra point up goes up 14 to nothing.
Still in the first quarter the Huskies would have trouble getting into the end zone, but not the Falcons. Jake Everts would take the hand-off and find a huge hole and it's nothing but tail lights. Everts would go 89 yards to the end zone. The extra point would be good and at the end of the first quarter A-P was up 21 to nothing on the Huskies.
Right before the end of the first half, fullback Brandon Simkins took the hand-off and he would rumble 30 yards for the touchdown.
The Falcons would go into half time with a 34 to nothing lead and they would keep taking to the Huskies in the second half.
Aplington-Parkersburg beats Nashua-Plainfield 41 to 7.
