CDC: Most children getting routine vaccines

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- New data from the Centers for Disease Control show nearly all kids are getting their routine vaccines.

The vaccine review is from a 2009 survey of more than 17,000 households.

Researchers say 90% or more of children ages 1 and a half to nearly 3 years old received their shots for Poliovirus, Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Hepatitis B and Chicken Pox.

Less than 1% of children didn't get any of the vaccines. In 2008, there were outbreaks of Measles mainly in children whose parents had declined
