DES MOINES (KWWL)--  Police in Des Moines say a student driver is responsible for the crash that killed an employee of the United Parcel Service at the Des Moines International Airport in Des Moines.

Police say 64-year-old Daniel Raber was opening a gate to let a semi in to make a delivery when the trailer hit him. He died at a Des Moines hospital from his injuries. Police say Si Mohammed Aboudou, of Orlando, Florida, was a student driver and was accompanied by an instructor when the crash happened just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. At this time the accident is still under investigation.
