Midwest company ranked as leader in technology use

MADISON, WIS. (KWWL) – CUNA Mutual Group has been named to this year's InformationWeek 500, an exclusive annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology.

Coming in at number 208, this marks the eighth year CUNA Mutual has been named to the InformationWeek 500.

"We are very honored to be part of this year's InformationWeek 500 awards," said Rick Roy, CUNA Mutual senior vice president and CIO. "This award is a clear example of our strong partnership between IT and our business lines to provide product excellence to better serve our credit unions and their members."

Significant enhancements to the company's technology were featured in CUNA Mutual's 2010 InformationWeek 500 application. That technology includes an Internet lending tool that enables credit unions to customize their loan origination system.  Using the system, credit union members can calculate loan payment options, complete loan requests electronically and receive online decisions and loan documents.  More than 12 million members currently have access to the program through 525 credit unions nationwide.

For 22 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative users of business technology.
