Autopsy confirms Rodricus Jones died from gunshot wound

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Waterloo Police say an autopsy done on Rodricus Keith Jones confirms that he died from a gunshot wound.

Captain Tim Pillack says the State Medical Examiner has ruled Jones' death as a homicide.

Police were called to the 900 block of Broadway Street just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, officers say they found Jones, 23, laying in the grass near 912 Broadway Street suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
