WATERLOO (KWWL) - For the 15th consecutive year, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Iowa, Inc. has been accredited by COA, the nationally distinguished Council on Accreditation, based on Wall Street, in New York City.

Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Northeastern Iowa, Inc. is a well known and established non-profit organization of accredited and certified counselors, whose goal and mission is to help individuals and families get out of debt and manage their money more effectively. It offers a wide variety of services to help Iowans get control of their finances and eventually become totally debt free.

The Council on Accreditation says its most recent reaccreditation of Waterloo-based Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Iowa, Inc. is a reflection of the Northeast Iowa organization's high standards of quality and continuing commitment to help those in need of today's most important and most effective money management techniques.

COA's own commitment to maintaining the highest level of standards and services is designed to identify and recognize service providers, like Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Iowa, Inc. which have set high performance standards for themselves and have made a commitment to their constituents to deliver the highest quality services year after year.

COA says the reaccreditation is an objective and reliable verification of an organization, which provides confidence and support to that's organization's service recipients, board members, staff and community partners. COA's reaccreditation process involves a very detailed review and an analysis of an organization's administrative operations and its delivery practices.

The Council on Accreditation reviews and reaccredits an organization's entire operation, not just its specific programs or services. COA says that means consumers can have confidence in the credibility, integrity, and achievement of the entire organization being reaccredited.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Iowa, Inc. is based in Waterloo, and located at 1003 West 4th Street. In addition, the non-profit agency has 10 regional offices, serving 38 Iowa counties. The organization received its first COA accreditation in 1996, and has won accreditation 14 straight years, making it a regional and state leader in providing the highest quality credit and debt services to thousands of Iowans.
