Cedar Rapids Police investigating bank robbery


CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a white man walked into the Bank of the West at 3730 Williams Boulevard SW at around 12:17 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, handed a note to a teller, took an undisclosed amount of money and left.

No weapon was used and no one was hurt.

Police say the robber left eastbound on Williams Boulevard in a black or charcoal gray Trailblazer or similar vehicle.

He is described as 5'9" tall and about 200 pounds.  He was wearing a white or khaki hat, a white button down shirt with blue in it and blue jeans.
