UPDATE: Names of Highway 30 crash victims released

BENTON COUNTY (KWWL) -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the victims of a fiery two-car crash in Benton County early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened on Highway 30, one mile west of Highway 218. Several agencies were called to the scene around 4:20 a.m.

Sheriff Randy Forsyth says the driver of an SUV, Scott Alan Swallom, 42 of Vinton, crossed the center line crashing into a car driven by Jacquelin Lee Daggy, 51 of rural Belle Plaine.  Swallom's SUV caught fire upon impact.

Both drivers had to be freed from their vehicles with the jaws of life and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway 30 was closed in both directions for several hours.
