Favre says a strong Super Bowl chance brought him back

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KWWL) -- He's back!  Brett Favre has officially announced he will play in the NFL this season for the Minnesota Vikings.

The future hall of famer says that the strong chance of playing in another Super Bowl is what brought him back to the NFL, again.

Favre was back practicing with the Vikings Wednesday, just 24 hours after three of his closest friends were sent to Mississippi by the team to convince him to play.

The three-time MVP said afterward, "this is a very good football team" and the chances of making the Super Bowl with Minnesota "are much greater than other places."

While he admits that there is nothing on him that's 100 percent, he believes that the ankle surgery that delayed his return has made him a little better.

The 40-year-old quarterback is coming off one of his best seasons, throwing 33 touchdowns and just seven interceptions in his first year with the Vikings.
