Cedar Rapids council cuts meetings

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- The Cedar Rapids City Council voted to change its meeting schedule to only two regular sessions a month at it's meeting Tuesday night.

The meetings will be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 5:30 p.m. and will continue to be held at the Hiawatha City Council Chambers.

The City Council chose to cancel the work sessions that were held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month earlier this year.

The City Council's meeting agendas are published online on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. The agenda packets are published online on Mondays afternoons. These documents are posted on the City's Web site in the City Council Meetings section here: http://www.cedar-rapids.org/city-council/citycouncilmeetings/Pages/default.aspx.
