UPDATE: One person dies after Cedar Falls car crash

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- According to friends and family, one person has died following a car crash in Cedar Falls Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the Country Terrace Mobile Home Park in 700 block of West Ridgeway Avenue just before 7 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a teenager, Chris McCully, bleeding from the head, after the car he was riding in crashed.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Counselors will be available Tuesday at Cedar Falls High School, where McCully went to school, at the Cedar Falls High School counselors office. Students are encouraged to stop in any time between 8 am and 4 pm.

Friends and family held a vigil for McCully on Sunday evening, lighting candles at the scene of the accident.

The investigation into the accident continues.  No charges have been filed.
