Stroller Strides: exercise for busy mommies

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Ask most moms and they'll tell you, some days finding time for anything is a struggle. Forget about working out. 

A unique program offers them the chance to multi-task.  They can get fit and have fun with their little ones at the same time.

In Norwich, Connecticut, at a stroller summit, moms and their little ones showed up to get fit.

It's called Stroller Strides, a total fitness program for moms and babies. This program is half conditioning, half play date.

"It's our routine, we get up in the morning and they're all excited to go to stroller strides because they're going to see all their friends. I know it's a way I can model a healthy lifestyle for all three of them," mother Sarah said.

Sarah pushes a heavy load with three children under the age of four.

"It's hard. It's heavy. The stroller plus the kids weighs about 150 pounds so it's a lot of extra weight to push but it keeps me in better shape that way," Sarah said.
