Westgate pastor accused of sexual abuse

WESTGATE (KWWL)-- A weeklong investigation has put a Westgate pastor behind bars, accused of several crimes against a child.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested 40-year old Timothy Parker for two counts of lascivious acts with a minor and one count of third degree sexual abuse. It stems from incidents involving a 13 year old child.  Parker is the pastor for St. Peter Lutheran Church in Westgate.

If charged, Parker could face 30 years in prison and be required to be on the sex offender registry. The Fayette County Computer Crimes Department will review evidence collected at Parkers' home.

Parker is in the Fayette County Jail awaiting his initial appearance.
