OTTUMWA (KWWL) -- A four day celebration at The International Video Game Hall of Fame will feature the hall's first inductees.

The celebration known as the "Big Bang" starts Thursday.

Organizers hope to draw around 5,000 people for the event.

29 video-game creators, developers, high-score champions and the iconic game Pac-Man will be inducted.

The hall has formed a non-profit corporation and assembled a board of directors that includes the Chamber of Commerce, city and state officials.

The committee is hoping to collect more than 4,000 coin-operated arcade game titles to be the centerpiece of an interactive museum.

City officials say they hope Ottumwa will become the Cooperstown of video games.
