Iowa City West dominates Dubuque Hempstead for title game bid

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Iowa City West dominated Dubuque Hempstead from start to finish capturing an 11-2 victory advancing them to Saturday's class 4A state final.

Sean Moore struck the big blow in the 7th, crushing a longball to left field with the bases loaded for the grand slam.  The shot was just the 3rd home run hit at the state tournament so far this postseason.

West pitcher David Rachke pitched four and one-third innings picking up the win. He gave up one run on three hits.

The Trojans will face Cedar Rapids Kennedy in Saturday's final.
