Court upholds serial killer's murder convictions

TORONTO (KWWL) -- Canada's highest court is upholding six convictions of murder of a pig farmer, Robert Pickton, who is accused of butchering women and feeding them to pigs.

The country's Supreme Court said Friday that Pickton's right to a fair trial, was not violated the first time around, and the court denied his desire for a new trial.

He was convicted of murdering six prostitutes in 2007 and then sentenced to life behind bars with no parole for at least 25 years.
