CR Salvation Army responding to flood disaster

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)--  The Cedar Rapids Salvation Army is responding to communities who have experienced recent flooding.

A disaster team delivered 80 clean-up kits, 800 bottles of water, and hundreds of snack items to the Delhi-area Monday.  They will be traveling to Monticello and Olin Tuesday to deliver items. Salvation Army staff members are assessing the needs of flood-impacted residents and emergency personnel to determine what other aid is needed.

The organization is accepting cash donations to help in recovery needs. You can stop by their Cedar Rapids office at 1000 C Avenue NW, or mail a check to that address.  Please earmark your gift for flood relief.
