DNR warns North East Iowa residents to avoid flood waters

MANCHESTER (KWWL) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is warning people to avoid the flood water, especially from the Maquoketa River in Manchester to the Mississippi River due to potentially high levels of bacteria in the water.

They say four water treatment plants have shut down so water quality is likely very low.

They also ask anyone with well water to check their water quality as well.
