Red Cross responds to Delaware, Dubuque Counties

DELAWARE COUNTY (KWWL) -- The Grant Wood Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will be sending its emergency response vehicle through the towns of Hopkinton, Delhi and Manchester Saturday afternoon.

They will hand out water and snacks to emergency workers, volunteers and residents who are dealing with the flooding.

The American Red Cross of the Tri-States is also continuing to assist those displaced by the flooding in Dubuque County. The Red Cross says 18 people are currently staying in alternate housing and clean-up kits have been distributed in Dubuque and Clayton counties.

No shelters are currently open, but the Red Cross is working closely with area Emergency Management personnel to monitor the situation.
