Entry Time For Park To Park Races September 11

A record-setting field is shaping up for one of Iowa's top road-racing events this fall. It's the annual ‘Park to Park' races, coming up on Saturday, September 11 at George Wyth State Park in Black Hawk County.

‘Park to Park' is a 5K, 10K & Half-Marathon Walk/Run event for both serious and recreational participants. Hosted by Trekman Racing, http://www.trekmanracing.com/

‘Park to Park' is a fun and challenging chip-timed racing event at George Wyth State Park, mid-way between Waterloo and Cedar Falls in Black Hawk County.

The annual race attracts the top runners from across Iowa, and the race course is USATF certified accurate. The course winds through George Wyth State Park to Island Park in Cedar Falls and back. The 10K event has been added for this year's ‘Park to Park' races.

As of July 22, Race Director, Dave Lipinski of Trekman Racing, says more than 500 participants had signed up. While there is still plenty of time to enter, Lipinski says entries will be stopped at 1000 walkers/runners for this year's growing annual event.
