High heels can do ugly damage to legs

(KWWL) -- The high heels women love to wear can do some ugly things to their legs.

Researchers found calf muscle fibers in high heel wearers were 13 percent shorter, and their achilles tendons were thicker and stiffer than flat shoe wearers.

This causes pain when wearing flat shoes because the achilles can't stretch normally.

Researchers say high heel addicts don't have to give up their passion, but suggest stretching exercises to avoid soreness at the end of the day.
