Man convicted in child death

SIOUX CITY (KWWL) -- A judge has convicted a Sioux City man of a child endangerment charge in the death of his 4-month-old daughter.

Woodbury County Judge James Scott on Thursday found Paul Hill guilty of child endangerment causing death in the 2009 death of his daughter, Tryniti.

Hill was found not guilty on a second count of multiple acts of child endangerment.

Hill faces up to 50 years in prison when he's sentenced on Aug. 10.

Police say Hill called 911, saying his baby wasn't breathing. She later died at a hospital. An autopsy showed the child died from a blow to her stomach.
