Donate blood and win free tickets to the fair!

WATERLOO (KWWL) – Whether your favorite part of the fair is the food on a stick, the music or the rides, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to do their "fair" share to boost the blood supply by giving blood and getting a chance to win free admission to the 2010 Iowa State Fair.

From July 19 to July 31, all presenting donors at the Red Cross Waterloo Blood Donation Center can enter a daily raffle to win a four-pack of tickets to the Iowa State Fair.

"For many, school is just around the corner and vacation is almost done, but there's still time to help patients in need this summer and maybe get into the fair for free," says Greg Novinska, CEO of the Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region. "To help our donors get into the ‘Fair' spirit, we'll also have Cracker Jacks in our refreshment area for everyone to enjoy."
