North Butler advances to 3rd state softball tournament in 4 years

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Number 3 North Butler broke a 2-2 tie with a 5th inning RBI single to knock off Don Bosco and advance to their 3rd state tournament in the last 4 seasons.

The Bearcats' Carly Jacobs helped the cause with a solo home run in the first plus the game winning RBI in the 5th.  After the win, North Butler head coach Isaac Almelien says that his team, however, is shooting for more.

"You make it to state, it's just a feeling that you can't describe.  Now, we're not done.  This isn't the end for us," says Almelien.
