Cedar Rapids man stabbed while walking his dog

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids Police say a man was stabbed Tuesday night while out walking his dog.

According to Sergeant Cristy Hamblin, Julius Trammell Sr., 37, was walking his dog in the area of 17th Street and C Avenue NE when he was approached by his ex-girlfriend, Contina Foster, 36, and she began to argue with him.

Police say that when Trammell tried to walk away, Foster stabbed him several times.

They say Foster left the area and was found at her home where she was arrested.

Foster is in the Linn County Jail charged with Willful Injury and Attempted Murder.

Trammell was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with injuries to his arm and back.
