Decade old Cedar Rapids murder to be featured on national TV

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- A nearly decade old murder case will be featured on "Forensic Files" which airs on Tru TV.

Police say Christine Sanoubane was murdered on September 4, 2000 at 818 10th Street SW.

After an investigation that took nearly a year and a half, police arrested Carlos Robinson in April of 2002.  He was convicted of First Degree Murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Sergeant Cristy Hamblin says the conviction of Robinson was based on good police work from the initial phone call all the way through the investigation.

The case will be on "Forensic Files" Friday, July 16th at 9:00 p.m. and will feature many officers from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
