Drinking water could be contaminated from flash floods

WATERLOO (KWWL)--- With all the flash flooding recently, there's a chance that those with well water may have bacteria seeping into drinking water.  The Culligan Water company in Waterloo says people who get their water from personal wells should have it tested for bacteria, to make sure it is safe for consumption.

"We take care of it and pick up the water samples for people, take it the laboratories for them.  water can be treated, we can take care of that," said Kevin Gillett, with the Culligan Water company.

Culligan recommends that you have your water tested at least once per year, if not more, to avoid bacterial contaminations.
