Options for getting rid of flood debris in Waterloo

WATERLOO (KWWL) - The City of Waterloo's Waste Management Services Dept. will start citywide curbside pick-up of flood-damaged debris the week of Saturday, July 10th through Friday, July 16th.  The Waste Management Services Dept. also has set up a drop off site at 3505 Easton Ave.

All residents may start placing flood-damaged debris at curbside for pickup on Saturday, July 10th.

In order to accommodate those households needing extra time to clean out basements, flood-damaged items will also be picked up the week of July 12th on the day prior to the customer's regularly scheduled garbage day.

For example, if your garbage is normally picked up on Tuesdays, your flood-damage debris will be picked up the day BEFORE—on Monday, etc. Items placed curbside after Friday, July 16th will NOT be picked up.

This free, curbside service runs July 10 – July 16th only and under the parameters specified. No exceptions.

The drop off site at 3505 Easton Ave will be open daily from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 10th through Saturday, July 17th. Directional signs will be posted for the public.

The following items are not allowed at either curbside or the dropoff: tires, hazardous materials/chemicals, paint, yard waste. NO EXCEPTIONS.
