WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The trial for a former Waterloo West High School teacher has been delayed.

Waterloo Schools fired Larry Twigg in March because police say Twigg had a 17-year old student perform sexual acts.

The trial was set to begin August 10. According to Iowa Courts Online, the case has been delayed due to pre-trial motions.

Officials from Canadian Pacific Railroad have removed three ethanol cars from the Little Cedar River near Charles City after a derailment Monday leaked tens of thousands of gallons of ethanol.
Most of the 49,000 gallons of ethanol has been recovered, but officials estimate 300 to 400 gallons of diesel fuel and 100 gallons of lube oil leaked into the stream.
