IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- The Iowa City Police Department says a Coralville man was charged with Operating While Intoxicated after he started talking to an officer inside the Johnson County Courthouse.

The criminal complaint says that William Timothy Grady, 46, was driving in front of the courthouse on Tuesday when he stopped an officer walking outside and asked him where he could park.

Officers say Grady then walked into the courthouse and began talking with another officer.

The officer says that Grady smelled strongly of alcohol and had slurred speech, bloodshot, watery eyes and was swaying.

The complaint states that Grady refused a preliminary breath test, but at the jail was found to have a blood alcohol content of .184.
