UPDATE: Names of people hurt in Cedar Rapids house fire released

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Two people were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Burn Unit following a fire in Cedar Rapids.

Crews were called to 3230 Dalewood Avenue SE just after 10:00 Tuesday night after getting a 9-1-1 call from one of the victims, Susan Marie Ketcham, 47.  She told dispatchers that her brother was still inside on the second floor.

When firefighters arrived, Ketcham was standing outside the home.

Crews found her brother, Darrell De Wayne Potter, 61, in a second floor bedroom.

Ketcham and Potter were both treated on scene and then taken to mercy Medical Center before being transferred to Iowa City.

Ketcham was released on Wednesday, Potter is still hospitalized.

Firefighters say the fire started in Potter's second floor bedroom near an oxygen generator.

They are not sure if human error or mechanical failure caused the fire.

The fire department says there were working smoke alarms in the three upstairs bedrooms, including Potter's room.
