Central Iowa flood waters rise

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Flood waters continue to rise in central Iowa this morning.

In Des Moines, crews are building levees along the Des Moines river to protect neighborhoods.

The Army Corps of Engineers also put a 6-foot inflatable barrier on the emergency spillway at Saylorville Lake yesterday.

Flooding forced the Department of Human Services office to close its main office in Polk County, but about 190 workers are moving to other locations to keep providing services.
