Dubuque RAGBRAI volunteers needed

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- RAGBRAI® riders will make their final stop in Dubuque on Saturday, July 31. The City of Dubuque and the Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau expect 15,000 to 20,000 riders that will dip their tires at the American Trust River's Edge Plaza.

That's why they are asking for rooms in homes for riders looking to stay on Saturday, July 31. Riders will be coming in from all over the country and from as far away as Ireland looking for a place to rest their heads after riding 442 miles.

You can also host people by allowing them to set up tent camping in your front yard. To view a full listing of riders requesting a place to stay, contact Julie Kronlage at jkronlage@dubuquechamber.com

Volunteers are also needed to make the event a success on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 31. Shifts are four hours and all volunteers will receive a free shirt. You can also contact Julie Kronlage.

T-Shirts are also on sale now at the Iowa Welcome Center, Free Flight and The Bike Shack.
