UPDATE: Waterloo shooting victim dies

WATERLOO (KWWL)-- A Waterloo man has died following a double shooting on Ricker Street early Thursday morning.

Police were called to a home on Ricker Street for a report of a shooting around 1:15 a.m. Thursday. While on their way to the scene, additional officers were sent to another home in the 300 block of Quincy Street for a person with a gunshot wound.

Police found 58-year-old John Parham, Jr., lying on the ground in front of his house on Ricker Street. He had several gunshot wounds to his stomach and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Parham died from those injuries on Thursday morning.

A second person, 27-year-old Terence Dixon, of Waterloo, was found with gunshot wounds in his arm and stomach at a home on Quincy Street. Dixon was taken to a hospital and is being treated for his injuries.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-4340.
