New tenants in Dubuque's Roshek Building

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- Body & Soul Downtown SpaSalon will occupy the main floor of the Roshek Building.  Dubuque Initiatives is pleased to announce Thursday that the new tenants will provide a sophisticated SpaSalon and boutique that is equally appealing and comfortable for both men and women.

In addition to open hair styling stations, Body & Soul Downtown will feature private hair styling suites allowing guests to experience all of their hair services in the privacy of their own beautifully appointed room. A variety of inspiring and practical retail items and gifts oriented to downtown workers will be available in the spacious and welcoming boutique.

"Body & Soul Downtown is a beautiful complement to all of the services that we offer at Body & Soul Wellness Center and Spa in Fountain Park. We want our guests to be assured that we will continue to offer counseling services, yoga and fitness, spa services, massage, wellness classes, and gifts and books for the mind, body and spirit at our Fountain Park location," Owners Scott and Julia Theisen said.

The Roshek Building was originally built to house the Roshek Bros. Department Store, which was the largest retailer in Iowa at the time. When IBM chose Dubuque, the decision was influenced by the sustainability initiative that Dubuque began in 2006.  This local Green Building philosophy fits well into the overall goals of Body & Soul Downtown SpaSalon.

"We're excited to have such quality tenants on board for this unique project. From the beginning, the driving force behind the Roshek Redevelopment has been the people and partnerships of the greater Dubuque area. The expansion of offerings on the Main Floor of the Roshek Building with Body & Soul Downtown SpaSalon furthers our overall goals for the facility," Dubuque Initiatives Board President Bill Callahan said.
